“NATHANIEL ERAS” Born in the central valley (in the farm town known as Fresno) Eras eventually migrated to San Francisco in 2000, where he began working with various local acts. While living in Oakland, Eras teamed up with electronic auteur William Marshall (a.k.a. Octavius) for the 2003 release, Audio Noir. The project received unexpected acclaim from leading independent music publications such as XLR8R, URB and The Wire, as well as a nomination for Hip-Hop Album of The Year by the L.A Weekly in 2004. For Unearthed, Eras has constructed an entire reinterpretation of Nosferatu, the 1922 silent film classic. For the piece, Eras masterfully employed dark synth phrases and distorted melodies over augmented drum breaks, all while evoking both tension and mystery. Unearthed is now released by the Track Numbers label . Without question, it should serve
